Why I wrote myPoolFlow

I’m a software engineer by day and a short-term rental operator by night. Managing my Airbnbs — many with pools — I kept missing pool service dates despite my best efforts. After searching for a solution, I found the existing options frustrating: either no generous free plan for small operators managing just a handful of pools, or apps that felt clunky and unpolished. So I built myPoolFlow — a clean, intuitive pool management app designed specifically for hosts like me.

The first 15 pools are completely free. Starting a business is expensive enough — I wanted to remove one more barrier for new hosts and let them focus on growing. Unlike other platforms that force you to subscribe on the web and then offer a stripped-down mobile experience, myPoolFlow lets you do everything directly from the mobile app. No compromises.

Because I’m a solo developer, I can move faster and respond to feedback more quickly than larger companies. Modern AI tools have dramatically accelerated development, but the real challenge remains building a reliable system — servers, billing, distribution, and customer support — all while keeping the product simple and delightful to use.
